Professional Internship for Newcomers

The Professional Internship for Newcomers (PIN) project, a partnership between KEYS Job Centre and the City of Kingston, combines paid internships for qualified professional newcomers with workplace mentoring and intercultural competency development for Kingston’s workforce.

Newcomer job-seekers who fit the following criteria may be entered into a pool of qualified candidates for internship opportunities:

  • Completed post-secondary education in their field
  • Attained a Canadian Language Benchmark of 6 or higher
  • Prepared a professional resume and job search plan

Internship details:

  • Paid 4-6 month internships in your field
  • Workplace mentoring
  • Intercultural competency training
  • Ongoing support for your job search through KEYS
