We operate an in-house commercial kitchen where we make savoury dishes and baked goods for our retail section and our self serve lunch room. We offer an outdoor patio in summer months for our guests to enjoy ice cream and our other homemade snacks such as pies, butter tarts, doughnuts, sandwiches, quiche and more.

Job Description:

Food Less Travelled is looking for an enthusiastic lover of local food to help us reach new customers and grow our business. We've been in business 10 years and we love our loyal customers-but it's time to kick it up a notch. We need a friendly and outgoing self-starter who enjoys meeting new people and maintaining great customer relationships...someone who has the skill set to expand our client base, increase our slaes and help make Food Less Travelled the go-to destination for all things local food. This position is the prerfect fit for someone with experience in the sales industry as well as hospitality and tourism, who is looking for a steady sales position that pays by the hour and does not require late evening work or travel.

Job Duties:

Present, promote and sell our products

Develop and maintain positive customer relationships

Acquire excellent product knowledge

Support and monitor marketing programs such as signage, website and social media activity

Obtain orders by servicing existing customer accounts

Establish new accounts by calling on existing clientele and other potential customers (no cold calls)

Meet sales targets by promoting existing products and researching new products reqested by customers

Develop fun and interesting motivational selling strategies for team members

Keep other team members apprised of sales activity

Resolve customer issues with investigation

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
