Mio Gelato is looking for a new Head Gelato Chef to create our trusted gelato recipes and develop new and unique flavours. In this position you’ll be responsible for:
– maintaining product output
– developing flavours of the week
– completing produce and supply inventory and orders
– supervising other members of the production team
– monitoring and ensuring product quality
– positive customer experience
– safe food handling certificate
– the ability to lift 50lbs
– diploma in culinary arts an asset
– Valid G license with the ability to drive a trailer an asset
The successful candidate will: – show-case initiative when determaining work for the day – demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team – be able to prioritize and organize tasks for the day – possess leadership qualities and be able to delegate when needed – have excellent verbal and written communication skills
This position is a contract position for the 2018 season March-December, with the possibility of extension.
