Job Description:

Position Summary:

 Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager for an immediate need within our Gananoque facility. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Director. He or she will manage all the planning and coordination of manufacturing operations involving safety, quality, production, staffing, continuous improvement and OEE in a highly regulated manufacturing facility. The selected candidate will provide strong leadership all while passionately guiding a strategic vision, day-to-day operations and long-term growth objectives. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Provides operational and technical management support to the operations and other support groups
  • Performs tasks related to product and process standards, production and human resources planning, capital projects and process design, start-up and modification
  • Identifies and supports projects for the site and prioritizes based on safety, quality, customer service and cost reduction needs
  • Provides support and expert advice, guidance and mentoring to the business
  • Supports OH&S policies, procedures, guidelines and employee training requirements
  • Assists in design, maintenance and interpretation of performance measurement systems
  • Promotes, leads and fosters a positive safety and quality culture within the organization
  • Provides assistance and expertise on plant’s total maintenance excellence program
  • Oversees planning and forecasting and monitors financials
  • Supports process and continuous improvement initiatives

 Experience and Knowledge

  • Degree in Engineering and/or Business
  • Minimum of 10+ years manufacturing management experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in managing medium to large teams
  • Experience in a regulatory environment is an asset
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification and experience considered an asset
  • Strong planning and execution skills
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management, Auditing, Engineering, and ISO
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • An adaptable, inclusive, respectful and value-driven professional
