Refugee Resettlement Services Kingston

As of May 18th, 2016, Kingston is officially a “RAP” centre and we are welcoming and supporting government-assisted refugees moving to our community. As part of the federal government’s response to the largest worldwide refugee crisis since World War II, Kingston was selected to support 120 government-assisted refugees before the end of March 2017. KEYS is working closely with Kingston Community Health Centres to offer support, workshops, guidance and accompaniment to new refugees in Kingston.

Once arrived, these newcomers receive temporary accommodation, orientation to life in Kingston and Canada, and connections to essential government, educational and community services. They also receive support to find and rent suitable accommodations.
