Harbour Community Kitchen

Welcome to Harbour Kitchen, Kingston’s newest community kitchen.

Small home-based food businesses are growing in Kingston, but commercial kitchen space is hard to come by. Without commercial kitchen space, it is so difficult to build and grow a food-based business.

The City of Kingston has partnered with KEYS to develop a solution. We are building an accessible community kitchen service at the former site of The Harbour Restaurant at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour in Kingston.  At launch, our programming will support women entrepreneurs to develop their food-based businesses.

Expected to launch in January 2023, the Harbour Community Kitchen will focus on support to newcomer, racialized and indigenous women and women with disabilities; and will offer :

  • Commercial kitchen space for rent
  • Entrepreneurial support and connection to community programming
  • Event space rentals for the community
  • Learning opportunities for members, and the wider community

Our project is still under development, but we are looking forward to welcoming those who have completed KEYS entrepreneurial training programs to join us in the new year.

As we develop this initiative, more exciting opportunities will become available. Please connect with us for more information or to sign up for regular updates by emailing: harbourkitchen@keys.ca.
