Job Description:

Dogwoods Inc. is looking to hire a full time seasonal Gardener to work the season beginning now and through the end of November.

Must have experience and willingness to travel to customers located in Kingston, Brockville, and throughout the 1000 Islands Region of Ontario.

Required:

Valid G License

Be physically fit and able to lift

Duties Include:

Weeding, feeding, lawn care maintenance.

Fine Gardening

  • Garden rejuvenation, ongoing maintenance and development
  • Garden renovations
  • Organic gardening
  • Holistic plant health care
  • Seasonal display bedding, urns and containers

Supply and Installation

  • Source, supply and install trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, annuals, bulbs
  • Lawn and lawn alternatives
  • Seed zone certified native species

Landscape and Garden Design

  • Design consultations
  • AutoCad drawings and details
  • Planting plans
  • Sketches and renderings

Arboriculture Services

  • ISA Certified Arborist reports for land development to meet, and or exceed municipal by‐law requirements
  • Tree protection and management plans ‐ prior to, during and post construction
  • Plant health care recommendations and health diagnostics
  • Site analysis, planting specifications and species recommendations.
  • Native and natural woodlot management
  • Corrective and developmental pruning of young trees, shrubs and vines
  • Specialty pruning of espalier, topiary, fruit tree and hedging
