SUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT
Loyalist Township is currently requesting applications from students
who are currently in school and planning to return in the Fall of 2021.

Summer Student: GIS
Employment Dates: May to August, 2021
Job Description:
The ideal applicant should be enrolled in a GIS program at a recognized Community
College or University and planning to return in the Fall of 2021. The primary focus of this
position will be to assist the GIS team in the creation, editing and maintenance of spatial
and attribute data. Assistance in the delivery of geomatics services to staff that may
include one or more of the following: support GPS and related data collection activities;
create ArcGIS services; undertake geospatial analysis; update metadata information
and assist in map creation. The successful applicant must have superior written and
analytical skills, along with experience in ArcGIS, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and
database software. GPS and/or GIS systems experience would be considered assets. A
valid class “G” driver’s license and a satisfactory driver’s record is required.
