Great j ob opportunity for experienced Marine Technicians i n a quiet l akeside
community i n Eastern Ontario. Len's Cove Marina i s a busy, modern, recreational
marina on the Rideau canal system selling Chaparral, Mastercraft, Crest and NauticStar
boats. We have been a family owned business since 1958 and want to provide the
opportunity to bring a new technician to our team!

We are l ooking for a technician with our shared values who i s willing to get behind our
vision ( see below). He/She needs experience working on recreational boats of various
sizes. Our customers' boats i nclude i nboard wake boats, sterndrive and outboard
runabouts, pontoons, fishing boats, and up to 44’ cruisers with complex systems that
require maintenance and repair. With 180 slips, over 450 boats i n storage, a full rental
fleet, and selling 130+ boats a year, there i s no shortage of opportunity.

Technician duties will i nclude:
- Diagnose and repair to engine and boat systems
- Rigging of new boats and engines
- Installation of options and accessories
- Conduct quality checks on work performed
- Perform scheduled maintenance and winterization of engines and boat systems

Customer Satisfaction and Sales
- Respect for Customers boats and equipment
- Complete repairs within scheduled times
- Advise Shop foreman or Service Writer of diagnosis, needed repairs; and parts
   and time required
- Make good notes detailing work done for communication with customers
- Advise Service Writer when additional work i s needed on a customer's boat

Interdepartmental Relations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other dealership
   personnel
- Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow Technicians and parts personnel
- Provide Service Writers with accurate reports of time and work

Expense Control
- Maintain dealership equipment to ensure good working order
- Use shop supplies as appropriate
- Meet or exceed the flat rate time allowances

Housekeeping/Safety
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Keep work area neat, clean and organized at all times
- Keep tools clean
- Wear proper protective gear

Professional Development
- Keep up to date on l atest technical service bulletins, etc.
- Attend factory training
- Attend additional technical training as necessary

Qualifications
- Have attended a Marine Engine Technician Training Program (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of Mercury/Mercruiser and/or Yamaha and/or I lmor and any
   other manufacture certification ( preferred)
- Forklift operator certification (preferred)
- Possess j ob-related skills, i .e., welding, plumbing, electrical, etc. ( preferred)
- Experience i n operating and trailering boats (required)
- Valid G class driver’s l icense (required)
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card ( required)
- Must have your own tools. Specialized shop tools are supplied ( required)
