Job Description:

Northern Cables Inc. is currently recruiting for a licensed or registered apprentice Industrial Electrician to support its growing business. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to train and coach employees are necessary. Base wage up to $67,800/yr. This position requires flexible working hours and rotating shifts.

Schedule:

Experience:

  • Maintenance Technician: 2 years (Required)

Licence:

  • Industrial Electrician (Preferred)

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
  • Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
  • Other duties as requested
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with appropriate codes (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code)
  • Running tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation

  • In-house assembly and manufacture
  • Training apprentices and/or coworkers
  • Recommending job improvements and alternative methods (problem solving)
