Duties:
- Responsible for inspecting for conformance to company and customer standards of work in progress, finished products and received materials.
- Monitor and check randomly selected samples to verify accuracy of equipment or process.
- Complete inspection reports on received materials.
- Analyze quality assurance data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Compile reports for company and customer.
- Inform designated personnel of conditions requiring immediate repair.
- Perform tool calibrations.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Data entry and filing.
Qualifications:
- Experience in quality inspection within a machining environment.
- Post-secondary technical education an asset.
- Proficient use of standard measuring equipment (SME).
- Excellent ability to read engineering drawings with understanding of machining applications and tolerances.
- Attention to detail, note taking, ability to apply quality control policies and procedures.
- Efficient, well organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
