Job Description:

BSMW is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Representative to join our team! As an Account Representative, you will be providing exceptional customer service to our personal lines clients, either through in bound calls or customer service outbound calls. You will also be providing on-going support to our Personal Lines Producers and their clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional service to our clients, handling routine inquiries and responding promptly, either by phone or email
  • Working closely with producers, coordinating new business and renewal strategies and negotiations
  • Closely reviewing policy wordings, understanding inside and out, always providing a knowledgeable experience for the client
  • Generating quotes for new or existing clients
  • Cross-selling; seeing opportunities to deliver information on new products, or enlighten the client on a product for additional protection
  • Preparation of documentation, including but not limited to: applications, proposals, binders, and endorsements
  • Invoicing client accounts, ensuring payments are received in a timely fashion
  • Attending training sessions and other industry related events
  • Maintaining professional relationships with underwriters, colleagues, and clients
  • Assisting Commercial Lines Head Office in preparing automobile slips, Registered Letters and other relevant documentation.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Extremely well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Deep understanding of how to deliver excellent customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Powerbroker an asset
  • Experience with insurance company portals an asset
  • Positive attitude, resilient under pressure
  • Team player with a desire to excel
  • Results oriented
  • Must have problem solving and critical thinking skills

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years servicing and supporting a personal lines department
  • Post secondary education a desirable asset
  • RIBO License
