Job Seekers Under 30

KEYS offers a variety of youth employment programs and services. If you are under 30, unemployed and not returning to school, we can help you find a job.

Career START Program

We can help you transition from student life to a paid professional career. Career Focus coordinates internships for recent graduates looking to develop their careers. By offering prospective employers wage subsidies to offset the cost of hiring new graduates, Career START helps ease your transition into the labour market. For more information click here, or to get started please visit one of our KEYS locations or contact us today.

InSight Youth Mentoring Partnership

The InSight Youth Mentorship Partnership is focused on assisting youth to learn about the world of work, potential career paths and the skills they will need to successfully transition from high school to employment, post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or further training. Click here for more information.

New Horizons Newcomer Youth Peer-Mentoring Group

New Horizons is a youth-led group that serves refugee and newcomer youth in Kingston, aged 16 to 30, by providing them with opportunities to meet each other, make new friends, share useful information, and have fun!  It is run by two program staff and a small team of youth leaders who also benefit from opportunities to boost their leadership skills and put them into practice while serving their community.  If you are a service provider who is interested in creating a similar program, take a look at our program toolkit.  You’ll find all the information you need, as well as compelling stories and practical tips.

JobStart - Skills Link Programs

We deliver the JobStart program at our Kingston and Gananoque locations. JobStart consists of pre-employment training, followed by a supported work placement. Participants get paid for attendance and earn while they learn. Keep checking the KEYS website for our next session. Click here to Apply.

Youth Job Connection (YJC)

Youth Job Connection offers paid job readiness training followed by a paid job placement. We will help you to connect with employers and get a job placement of 12-26 weeks. We can provide incentives to employers to help cover the cost of wages and training for their new employee and help you to cover costs like transportation or tools required for the job. Find out more information here or by contacting us today or apply here.
