WHY SUPPORT US
As a community-based, non-profit, KEYS has offered opportunity and hope to approximately 100,000 jobless youth and adults for more than 30 years. We received our recognized charitable status in 1991. Since then we have helped thousands of people to move from a life of poverty to a life with a future.
As the Kingston area's largest employment service, KEYS changes lives by providing the widest range of services and support under one roof. As a leader within our communities, we educate and advocate for change to help vulnerable populations (at-risk and homeless youth; people with disabilities and newcomers) to have equal employment opportunity.
We believe that employment is the most important determinant of health and inclusion and every service we deliver is focused on increasing employability and creating opportunity. Our front-line staff are committed, well-trained professional career counsellors and teachers, who offer a variety of programs ranging from crisis intervention, group-based jobs training, English language instruction and individualized employment counselling to support individuals as they move to independence through education and job assistance.
We are grateful for the public funding we receive from a variety of government sources; but we also rely on donors who share our mission and vision. Your donations can give us the flexibility to develop and deliver services for our clients as needs emerge.
What your financial commitment means to us
When you become a donor, you help to provide the funding needed to keep our doors open to everyone, who needs us. The commitment from our donors allows us to make our annual financial plans secure in the knowledge that our clients will receive the life-changing programs they rely on. Stability in uncertain times is a tremendous gift for any charity. Your donation helps to provide our clients with the immediate help they desperately need, along with tools and skills to work towards independence, like education and job training.
Our fundraising partner is Canada Helps, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide small to medium sized charities with online fundraising solutions that are low-cost, easy-to-use and secure. To make a donation, click here. We thank you for your support.
