Insight Youth Mentoring Program: We need leaders in our community to volunteer to be mentors. One-to-one mentoring partnerships are made based on shared interests and on the career goals of the youth. Share your story and experience and make a difference. The Professional Mentoring Partnership: Through this program,  Kingston area professionals connect with and support newcomer professionals with similar skills and education through mentorship and networking. Mentors open doors to the realities of their sector and Kingston-area workplaces for newcomers and help them build their social capital and networks. Volunteer opportunities include one-to-one matches, one-time meetings and participation in sector-specific networking events. Rise Small Business Lending Program: Rise is the only national organization providing people with mental health or addiction challenges a path toward sustained self-employment or small business ownership. KEYS Job Centre offers the Rise program in the Kingston area. Mentors provide one-on-one business advice to Rise clients in-person, by phone, and by email. Their support helps end stigma and change lives. Volunteer with Refugees: Community members can help newcomer refugee families get settled in Kingston. We are looking for eager and committed volunteers to join Family support teams, lead Family support teams, or do informal language interpretation.  Volunteering with refugee families in our community is a special and rewarding opportunity!
