Housekeeper

All Suites Whitney Manor is a small boutique accommodation property in the east end of Kingston. We are currently looking for a reliable, detail-oriented housekeeper to join our cleaning team.

The position involves cleaning and preparing guest suites between stays, including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and living areas, as well as changing linens, doing laundry, restocking supplies and helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the property.

This is a casual, part-time position with variable hours depending on guest bookings. During our busier summer and fall months, there are typically 10–20 hours of work per week. During the slower winter season, some weeks may have considerably less.

Most cleaning takes place between guest check-out and check-in, generally between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

We can, however, be very flexible about which days of the week you are available to work. You do not need to be available every day. For example, someone who is only available on weekends, certain weekdays, or a few days each week may still be a good fit. We can arrange our housekeeping schedule around the availability of the right candidate.

Because the number of hours is not guaranteed, this position is best suited to someone looking for supplemental part-time work rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and takes scheduled shifts seriously
• Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
• Is able to work independently and follow established cleaning standards
• Is available for daytime cleaning shifts, generally between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
• Has reliable transportation and their own vehicle, as public transportation does not service the property
• Is comfortable with physically active work, including making beds, bending, lifting laundry and supplies, and working on their feet
• Can communicate reliably by phone or text regarding scheduling

Previous professional housekeeping, hotel, short-term rental or residential cleaning experience is strongly preferred. More important, however, is reliability, consistency and a willingness to learn our cleaning standards.

Full-week availability is not required. Applicants with limited but dependable availability are welcome to apply.
