Confined Space Rescue Technician (Temporary Contract)

Location: Various job sites throughout Leeds & Grenville, Ontario

Term: September 2026 (Temporary Contract)

1000 Islands Safety is seeking experienced Confined Space Rescue Technicians to join our team for a temporary contract throughout September 2026. This position supports industrial shutdowns and maintenance projects, providing confined space rescue standby and emergency response services.

 Responsibilities

• Provide confined space rescue standby services at client worksites.
• Maintain rescue equipment and ensure it is ready for immediate deployment.
• Monitor confined space entries and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with entry teams, supervisors, and site personnel.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Respond immediately in the event of an emergency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Confined Space Rescueposition is required.
• Current Confined Space Rescue training and relevant certifications.
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of performing rescue duties and working in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from worksites throughout the Leeds & Grenville area.

Schedule

• Temporary employment for September 2026 only.
• Must be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and extended shiftsas required by client operations.

Compensation

$20-30 an hour- to be discussed during the application process and will be based on qualifications, certifications, and relevant experience.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation is mandatory.
• Ability to travel to various locations throughout Leeds & Grenville.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.
