The Gananoque Seniors Association (GSA) is seeking an organized, community-minded Part-Time Administrative Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our growing senior’s organization.
Job-Share Position
This is a job-share position. Each employee must be familiar with all core aspects of the position and be able to provide reasonable coverage when the job-share partner is unavailable.
Strong communication and accurate record-keeping between job-share partners will be essential to maintaining continuity of GSA operations.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media, Website, and Communications
- Develop, write, edit, and schedule content for GSA social media and other communication platforms, including text, photographs, graphics, and videos.
- Coordinate content with the Board Chair and the Marketing and Communications Directors.
- Maintain a monthly calendar.
- Monitor and respond appropriately to online comments, messages, and mentions.
- Assist with website updates, email newsletters, program flyers, and other communications projects.
- Track online performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay current with relevant communication trends, features, and best practices.
Program Coordination
- Coordinate and support GSA classes and on-site programs, including the seniors drop-in centre.
- Develop and maintain program schedules.
- Provide instructors with schedules, instructions, information, and materials.
- Prepare and distribute program materials in print and electronic formats.
- Ensure materials and equipment are organized, safe, identified, and accounted for.
- Maintain program spreadsheets and information.
- Respond to program inquiries.
- Assist members and instructors with program-related questions.
- Ensure program information remains accurate and current.
- Coordinate with instructors, volunteers, and Board members.
Special Events and Community Outreach
- Assist with planning, promoting, coordinating, and delivering GSA special events.
- Support event registration, communications, volunteer coordination, and on-site activities.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners.
- Participate in outreach activities that promote the GSA.
- Attend occasional evening or weekend events when required.
Job Requirements
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new software, including accounting software.
- Experience with social media, websites, newsletters, and community communications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- A warm, professional, and community-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of local organizations and community services is an asset.
- Experience in administration, volunteer coordination, event planning, membership services, or community development is an asset.
- A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.
